The Quantum Runner is a lever drive wheelchair designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This chair is designed for indoor and outdoor use and can handle a variety of terrain, including dirt paths, grass, and hills. It provides forward propulsion with the push and pull of its lever. This ergonomically correct positioning allows the user to sit in the upright position and change gears depending on the power needed. In most circumstances, the chair is used in an "automatic" mode where the four-speed gears change according to the speed of the wheel. In addition, the propulsion system can be disabled completely and the chair used in the conventional wheel-push manual method. FRAME: Aluminum frame. BRAKES: Disc brakes are provided for safety and quick turning. WHEELS: Composite wheels with pushrims. CASTERS: Front casters.
